The Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth heard oral arguments in the case of 1-year-old Tinslee Lewis this week following a motion requiring Cook Children's to continue providing life sustaining treatment during the appeals process.
Justice Sandee B. Marion denied a temporary injunction filed on behalf of the Lewis family, effectively allowing Cook Children's to end treatment in accordance with the Texas 10-Day Rule.
On Thursday, Justice Sandee Marion issued an extension until January 2 for Tinslee Lewis while she decides whether or not to grant the family's request for a temporary injunction.
