An exclusive look inside Texas politics and policy, every Friday.

Now that the runoff elections have officially come to a close, attention will turn fully to November’s inevitable general election as Republicans seek to maintain their majority in the Texas House and Democrats look to flip the chamber in their favor.

This week, fundraising reports for state races were released, providing a snapshot of where momentum lies and how candidates are preparing for their respective battles.

Only the most competitive Texas House districts of the 150 total were included in this breakdown, based on metrics provided by Mark P. Jones of Rice University.

In order to ensure a fair comparison between candidates, districts in which a runoff election took place this week were not included. For details on how candidates in these districts are fairing financially, check out The Texan’s War Room feature.
